About the Role

The IT Security Specialist will play a key role in safeguarding the organization’s IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and information assets. The position requires a strong hands-on approach combined with the ability to operate within structured security and compliance frameworks typical of enterprise SaaS environments.

The role will be responsible for monitoring security threats and vulnerabilities across networks, systems, and cloud platforms, proactively identifying risks and coordinating remediation activities. This includes supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices.

The IT Security Specialist will conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security reviews, contributing to incident response activities and post-incident analysis when required. The role will actively support compliance initiatives related to information security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and internal governance requirements, working closely with compliance and legal stakeholders.

In close collaboration with IT operations, cloud engineering, and product teams, the position will contribute to the secure design and deployment of systems and applications. This includes advising on security-by-design principles, supporting secure configuration of cloud environments, and participating in security reviews during product development cycles.

The role will also contribute to security awareness initiatives, supporting internal training activities and promoting a strong security culture across the organization. The IT Security Specialist will report to the Head of IT Security and work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in IT security or cybersecurity roles

  • Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security, and risk assessment

  • Experience with security standards (ISO 27001, NIST)

  • Ability to respond to incidents and manage security audits

  • Excellent English communication skills
