
About the Role
The HR Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of human resources activities for the Italian organization, acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership and operational managers. The role requires a strong balance between strategic HR planning and hands-on operational execution.
The position will oversee workforce planning, recruitment and employer branding strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term organizational growth. This includes defining recruitment priorities, managing external recruitment partners, and ensuring a consistent candidate experience across corporate and retail functions.
The HR Manager will lead the performance management framework, including goal setting, appraisal cycles, and continuous feedback processes. A key responsibility will be supporting managers in developing leadership capabilities, addressing performance gaps, and managing complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes and conflict resolution.
The role will also drive learning and development initiatives, identifying training needs, coordinating internal and external training programs, and monitoring their effectiveness. Particular focus will be placed on leadership development, succession planning, and internal talent mobility.
From an organizational perspective, the HR Manager will contribute to organizational design initiatives, change management projects, and cultural transformation programs. This includes supporting restructuring activities, optimizing roles and responsibilities, and fostering a high-performance, inclusive work environment.
The position will ensure full compliance with Italian labor law and internal HR policies, working closely with legal advisors and payroll providers. The HR Manager will monitor HR KPIs, prepare regular reports for management, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
The role reports directly to the HR Director and collaborates closely with Finance, Operations, and senior business leaders across the organization.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in retail or consumer goods
Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and HR best practices
Proven experience in talent development, performance management, and employee relations
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Fluency in Italian and English
